Thursday 24th April
SHE SAID:
Dorte & I headed out for a few hours to look for orchids. We found Common Bunnies, Hares & Leafless Orchids, also Sun & Red Beak leaves. A good haul.
I wanted to do a reccy of an area I hadn’t explored much before, but the road up to the old fire tower was all bulldozed in, to stop people going up there, I guess.
It was a chilly start & southerly wind, which kept the temperature under 20C the whole day.

HE SAID:
Dorte arrived at the house a bit after 9, leaving her car at the house while she and Varena went out ahunting. I managed to get soaked as I drained and flushed the caravan’s water tanks. There doesn’t seem to be a way to stay dry doing this. My other jobs for the day were menial, but Varena surprised me when they returned earlier than expected. I guess the orchids were too elusive today.
