We hit the road around 9.40am for the drive back to Horsham.
It was decided to break the journey at the National Memorial Arboretum, about 2 hours in on the drive. Mum’s friend Kate recommended it, & it was a good break for a leg stretch & lunch stop.
Geoff seemed happy to continue driving after the 2-hour break & did the rest of the 165 miles down the motorways back to Mum’s in Horsham.
HE SAID:
For some reason the drive back to Horsham seemed easier than the first leg up to Wales. It may have been the extended stop at the arboretum, which is a nice place. No wallabies, dead or alive, were sighted on this trip.
