Friday 29th August

We headed south with Bertie to Esperance, topping up with fuel, then headed east for the Orleans Bay Caravan Park, south of Condingup. Not my preferred spot, but with the rain in the area the access to the camping area at Cape Arid could be muddy & slippery. We decided not to risk it.
At $53 P/N it isn’t cheap here, & being the weekend I suspect that it will have noisy & possibly drunken drongos around. It is a known “fisherman’s paradise”, so nature & peace & quiet are NOT on their agendas!
Yep, I was right, the doof, doof “music” started around 5.30pm! (BUT surprisingly it lasted about 1/2 hour!)

HE SAID:
There was no hurry to get moving on this not-so-cold morning. We were only relocating less than 2 hours from Grass Patch, and most van parks prefer that you arrive well after lunch. We arrived around noon, but all was fine.
We headed out after lunch and went to a spot Varena knew. Well, there were thousands of orchids! She was so happy.
Back at the van in the late arvo we chilled for a bit before Varena made a great steak dinner. Mmmmm, steak.
