Happy 26th Anniversary Geoff
SHE SAID:
Today is our 26th Wedding Anniversary, well done Geoff! (Someone forgot to get a card to mark the occasion… Luckily the other party had remembered, thanks again darling!)
We headed west to Esperance & our next house sit in Nulsen. We know the owners, Joan & Jeff, through Kylie & Ean, & were offered the sit last year when we were here.
We arrived into town before the rains, set up, & had a run through the house with Jeff, as he was home. Then we went into town for lunch & groceries.
I managed a short walk up at Dempster Head with Kathy, finding several hybrid orchids out & getting caught in the rain! And, the first Pointing Spider for the year.
I was back at the van in time to pick Geoff up & meet Joan, Jeff, their son Nicolas, & friends of theirs at the 33 Degrees, a bar in town. We ended up back at the house having nibbles & a couple more drinks.

HE SAID:
Happy 26th anniversary to my lovely Varena!
We left Mary's farm
mid-morning, as there was only a short drive to Esperance, and we
didn't want to get there too early because Jeff was working from home
today. Upon arrival at Nulsen Jeff met us with the news that he
retired yesterday! He had had enough and just did it. I'm not sure
that this retirement is permanent as he seems pretty keen to count
pennies, so maybe we'll here that he's got himself another job when
they return. Who knows.
Finding an open burger place was harder than it should have been. Some open only in the evening. One was permanently closed. The one we found open seemed to make a decent burger, if only they had remembered to put some sauce on it!
Drinks in the arvo was fun, and our salami, cheese, olives etc nibbles dinner with Joan and Jeff went well. We all probably had one too many, but seemingly no harm done.
