SHE SAID:
We had a lazy late start today, heading east for the Pootenup area. I was hoping to find the Pootenup / Elusive Rufous. Other than it is in the area I had no other information, so it was highly unlikely that we’d find it, but we gave it a go. NO LUCK!
We did find plenty of other orchids, including Smooth-lipped Spider, 2 Shy Spiders - pure white. They are a named hybrid & are usually cream or yellow; I was happy dancing! The final surprise was a bunch of ‘Blue” Sun Orchids, 14 in a tight bunch; they looked like they had been planted! A beautiful sight, but strange too!
The final stop was back at the swamp I found on Thursday to see the Pink Spiders which I had missed by 20m, as I parked in a different spot to Kathy who saw them there yesterday after I gave her the location of the swamp! Yes, found!

HE SAID:
We saved our extravagant Christmas/Season/Bachanal/Holiday photo taking session until we were one minute from the Frankland van park on our way home after a long day. No-one can say we are anti-Christmas/Season/Bachanal/Holiday! Carbonara was delicious for dinner.
