SHE
SAID:
Ang
& I headed into Melbourne city today so she could check into her
hotel & dump her suitcase. We then caught the tram to the city
centre to have a wander around, & grab some lunch.
We
came upon a "flash mob" at Federation Square, hundreds of
young girls chanting for a group of local kids called the Janoskians
(which apparently means: Just Another Name Of Silly Kids In Another
Nation) to be on the TV show Ellen which is touring Australia soon!
The reason we checked it out was that we saw heaps of Police around
too. It turned out that there was an opposing "gang" trying
to shout the girls down, with the potential for trouble I guess...!
We
had a quick look then decided lunch would be more interesting..it
WAS! We chose Japanese then had a couple of hours walk along
Southbank & back into the city to wear it all the yummy food off !
Back
in Ferntree Gully I was home in time to see everyone off for Jared's
basketball final which his team won!
Well Done Jared & co.

Dreaming.... |
With the early departure to basketball by some, and city wanderings by others, I stayed home with Riley most of the day. Totem Tennis, table tennis, bbq lunch ensued. We headed off about 5:30 with Steph and Percy to watch Jared play in the basketball tournament Grand Final. It was an even match with a couple of lead changes, but Jared's team won by 2 points. Pies and chips for dinner!
On a more serious note, we are grateful to be spared the fires and floods of elsewhere in Australia. Our only weather gripe is Melbourne weather. It is all over the place!
