NO! One more hiccup to round out the last few days. NAB couldn't do a telegraphic transfer of the house money from their bank to another bank for us....Modern technology my arse!
We
had to have an almost unheard of thing these days........ a cheque!
But
there's more, because the bank we wanted the cheque to go into hadn't
yet issued my account card we couldn't put the cheque into the post
office for them to deposit it into our bank either....
We
had to do an 80km round trip plus tolls into the city to hand deliver
the cheque to the bank....
OMG!!!!
WHAT CENTURY ARE WE IN....
This
bank that we are with does give us a great interest rate on the money
but you may be surprised to hear that it is an ONLINE BANK....It
advertises the fact that you can do EVERYTHING on line. That's why it
has hardly any branches....
Who
invented these ******* things? Once again customer service IS NOT on
their lists of top priorities...
Enough

Varena's cooking and my sanity were put on hold today. Despite 2 phone calls and an email to make sure that we would not have any hassles transfering the house funds, guess what? Hassles! The banks made it so hard to give away the money. I reckon it took 4 hours to finalise what should have been a 2 minute online task. Urgh!
