WELL!
Bertie is hitting the road once again, coming with us & the boys
to Ballarat to see Erica Maddie & Aaron for 4 days. We had a
major pack-up with Bertie to get him "ship-shape" for
travelling.
All
went well with Steph & Andrew seeing us on our way by 12.30pm.
It
was an easy journey across the West Gate Bridge & we got to
Erica's place around 3pm. The kids relaxed around each other pretty
quickly so all was good.

HE SAID:
Off to Ballarat. We gave the car a good work out, and he wasn't used to it. Ballarat is quite high, about 450 metres above sea level, and on the way from Melbourne there is a very long hill that takes you from the very low flats around Melbourne up to the higher areas where Ballarat is. The car temperature gauge got rather warm during that climb. I suppose two and a half tonnes of caravan is quite an extra strain to drag up a hill.
