SHE SAID:

Our route today should have taken us north to Ivanhoe, but with heavy rain clouds in the area we decided than we should go west to Mildura instead & cut out the 200kms of dirt that the Ivanhoe to Minindee road would have entailed.

It was a longer day driving, but it''s been a long time since either of us has been to the Mildura area. We managed to stay on the NSW side of the Murray River though, as the caravan park I chose is actually in Buronga not Mildura. We were lucky to score a site right on the water as someone had just cancelled & were leaving early.

We had a quiet afternoon at the park not doing any tourist stuff till tomorrow.

The Koala's furry bum that Geoff spotted

Can you spot the "furry bum" in the gum trees?

Another Geoff sighting on the roadside

I am guessing by the colouring it is slowly warming up in the sun!!??
HE SAID:

Avoiding a long stretch of dirt roads with the potential for rain in the area seemed sensible. And we got a great van site on the river. So, all good.
