SHE
SAID:
Our
return trip to Horsham was in the pouring rain, with a couple of
short stops on the way. I wanted to see where some of Midsomer
Murders was filmed, though the rain curtailed the wanderings
somewhat.
We
were back at Mum's by 1pm.
The
rain never let up all day, so apart from a quick trip to the
supermarket we spent the rest of the day inside.

Wallingford Market Place - often used in scenes from Midsomer Murders as "Causton"

Often on the top of the thatched roofs there are animals made out of the same thatching , including pigeons, cats & I spotted this fox

This is a legal footpath through the middle of the wheat field

The Ridgeway walk extends for 85 miles in total - we might have done 3 of those miles!
It was about a four hour drive in the rain back to Horsham. The distances in England are not huge but the traffic clogs the roads.
AND......... Today is the 5th anniversary of my finishing up at work!!! WTF??? How did 5 years pass so quickly??? Anyway, we know that we are very, very lucky to be in our current circumstances. HOORAY!!!
