SHE SAID:

We have planned a quieter day today, with a walk along the Ridgeway to the White Horse chalk carving, (into the hillside) which has been dated at around 4000BC. Then to Wayland Smithy, which is actually an ancient burial site, not an old blacksmith's yard!

For lunch we went to Radcot, The Swan Hotel, which sits on the River Thames.
The weather was just bearable to sit outside with glimpses of sun coming through throughout lunch!

HE SAID:

It is quite a buzz to be walking around these ancient places. It reminds me of how insignificant we all really are (I know; all philosophical).

We had a fair bit of walking this morning. Nothing too strenuous. Just a couple of hours of wanderings.
