SHE
SAID:
Another
cultural day today. This time we went to the St. Fagan's Welsh
National History Museum. The owner of St. Fagan's Castle gave his
property & lands to the Welsh people, so that a “living”
museum could be built there for everyone.
There
are heaps of old farmhouses, shops, churches & other buildings
there that have been moved from their original sites & rebuilt in
a village type setting.
Next
we went to Barry, a seaside “resort” south of Cardiff, where we
had fish & chips overlooking the beach, though it wasn't the
weather for the beach!!!

HE SAID:
I picked up a book on learning Welsh last night. It started off by stating that Welsh was phonetic so I put it away. If ever there was a language that was NOT phonetic it is Welsh! For example, Cardiff is Caerdydd, and the Welsh word for Wales is Cymru, pronounced Cumree. I won't bother any more.
