SHE
SAID:
We
headed back to Birmingham today, the Third Ashes Test starts
tomorrow.
The
journey was fine with the usual English road bedlam...no journey is
complete without a jam, accident or diversion!
Once
we dropped our stuff off at the BnB we continued on to Wolverhampton,
where we were meeting up with Steve Tabner later in the day &
going to a Wolverhampton Wanderers V Aston Villa football friendly
at the Wolves ground. We had a couple of hours at a National Trust
house called Wightwyck Manor before they knocked off work, which is
close to Steve & Jo's place.
The
Wolves game was good & ended up being a 2-2 draw. Geoff
& I caught the train back to Birmingham & then a taxi as we
couldn't find the right bus to the BnB.

| YES...That is sunshine, rare & brief! |
HE SAID:
It was quite a long day for us, with a 9am departure from Horsham, a four hour drive to Birmingham, a few hours touring the old house, then the Wolves match. We were in bed by midnight, tired but happy.
