SAID:
Geoff
came into the city today, he kept checking the cricket score in hopes
of a huge Aussie upset, but it was he that ended up being upset I
think!
We
had a look around the Birmingham Library, quite a building, with an
outside garden terrace, one of the largest collections of Shakespeare
works in the world & a café.
Then
we spent a quiet hour on the Birmingham canals. Larger than the
Venice canal system apparently, though not nearly as scenic!
Back
at the BnB we relaxed the rest of the day away.

HE SAID:
The Birmingham canal cruise was not very scenic, giving me many opportunities to check the cricket scores. I had my hopes up until we were all out just before lunch. After that it was just a question of when England would win; we did not have enough runs to defend.
