SHE SAID:

We headed out of Birmingham today, with a short stop at the village green of Bournville, for a couple of old building photos. Then on to the National Trust house called Baddesley Clinton. A lovely old place with a moat around it.

After a picnic lunch in an adjoining field (yes, we were able to sit outside in the almost sun & eat lunch!) we continued on to Coventry, which was about 20 miles east. I remember going to Coventry as a kid & not liking the old/new cathedral that was built there after the original cathedral was bombed during the second world war.

Once again I decided I didn't like it! There were, however, some nice old buildings & one of the most famous ex-residents, Lady Godiva, to see too.

HE SAID:

After being pleasantly warm around lunch time I bravely risked not taking a coat with me as we explored the Coventry Cathedral. I should know better; as we left the cathedral it became cool and rainy. The rain did not last long, just long enough to be annoying.
