We
farewelled Celine & left her place around 9.45am.
I
had booked tickets for the Harry Potter Experience at the Warner
Bro's Studios in Watford, so we headed back around the M25 for that.
It was pouring with rain but we made good time. The earliest tickets
I could book were 1.30pm (you seem to have to pre-book), but we hoped
we could get in earlier. Yes
we did; there was no problem doing that.
I
have done the tour before, but it was still excellent & worthwhile
doing again. The Hogwarts Express & Kings Cross Station set were
additions that weren't there last time I came with Mum.
We
took about 2 ½ hours to look around the Back Lots, then it was about
a 90 minute drive back to Mum's.

Apart from poring rain on the M25 motorway, all went off without a hitch getting from north east London to Horsham. Having read all the Harry Potter books, then watched all the movies, it seemed to be a reasonable step to go to the theme park. It was quite good, though probably aimed at the more obsessed fan than people at my level of interest. At 33 pounds ($66) each to get in, plus a hefty whack (about $7 I think) for a butter beer (which seemed to be like creamy soda with a little pouring cream on top and served in a small plastic picnic cup) it is no cheap day out for anybody. If you want an "official" photo of yourself or the kids riding a Quidditch broom or pushing a baggage trolley through the platform wall you are up for 14 pounds ($28) for 1 photo. Did someone sneeze or was that the sound of a wallet getting ripped open!? There are no rides or anything exciting, just film sets, outfits and heaps of info, so unless you are rich or quite a fan of the books/films, just re-read the books or re-watch the films. It is just too much to pay for 2 hours "entertainment".
