SHE
SAID :
Geoff
and l headed out for another culture filled day, starting at Hampton
Court, and finishing with the rugby (for Geoff at any rate).
Mum
and John met us at Hampton Court. Originally we were going to take
part in the re-enactments along with John's son Michael, who belongs
to a "sealed knot" re-enactment type group, but he couldn't
make it so we didn't do it. Mum had bought train tickets to see us
dressed up in medieval costume, before it was cancelled, so went just
went along for the day instead.
Geoff
was happy that we got back to the city in time for him to see one of
the rugby semi-finals.

HE SAID:
Hampton Court is quite a place. We have been there before, but going a second time 18 years later was no chore. It was originally planned that I was going to be a pikeman and Varena a serving wench. As we were no longer a part of the re-enactment proceedings we got to sleep in, stay warm and dry, and I got to watch the rugby. So not all bad!
