SHE SAID :

I did the morning tour to Speyer alone; Mum wasn't feeling great, & she thought she'd have a quiet morning, and that a massage would help.

The German guide in Speyer marched us around the town at quite a pace.

We returned to the boat for lunch, then it was all aboard the coaches again for the Heidelberg tour of the ruined castle and old town. Yes another old town, this one is famous for it's university, Mum wanted to do this one so came along.

HE SAID:

Another cruisy day, mainly watching shows. I am keeping up having a walk every day. It gets me out into the occasional patch of sunshine, I can stretch my legs, and I get myself any needed supplies. Today I added a social meeting with Kate, one of Jan's friends of several decades. Kate and her husband Tony are a friendly and chatty pair that we have met up with a couple of times. Tony is rather poorly so did not come along, but Kate and I chatted away at the local M&S cafe for about an hour or so. She even bought me coffee and brunch!
