SHE SAID :

The blue skies and sun barely lasted till we left Mum's! The rain started as we hit the motorway and didn't let up till we stopped in Lavenham around 1pm. Then miraculously it was sunny spells and blue skies again!

Mum had suggested this quaint little village and we agreed it was a good place to stop. We had lunch and a look around the National Trust's Guildhall, then a wander around some of the old wonky houses! How they don't just topple over is beyond me.

We arrived at our accommodation, "The Oak House Barn" in Rougham, and moved in without seeing the owners.

Inside the Guildhall Museum. Through it's history it has also been storage,
a workhouse & Bridewell (prison for petty thieves)

HE SAID:

More culture and history for me today. Guildhalls, bridewells, market squares etc. I can see why Lavenham is a good spot to stop.
