SHE
SAID:
Today
was a first for Daniel. He told us he'd never been to a winery! ("Vinery Virgin"!)
So
this morning we took him to 3 in the Bowral region. First stop was
Centennial Vineyards, a large imposing place, with nice wines &
friendly staff. Next stop was Bendooley Estate; Geoff & I went
there last week looking for books not wines. We didn't get to taste
their wines as the cellar door was full of females on a hen's
party. We
decided on a third one, which happened to be empty: Mount Ashby Estate; very quaint.
Lunch
was in the village of Burrawang, at the hotel with a view of
the valley. On the way back Geoff & Daniel wanted a Guinness, so
I left them at the Scottish Arms.

Our winery tour was also a way to show Dan some of the area. He seemed quite impressed with what he saw, and expressed an interest in seeing more sometime.
The Burrawang Hotel had been recommended to us, but I think that it was for the view not the food.
