SHE SAID:

The mercury plummeted today. Yesterday it was a lovely 34C, today I think 23C was the highest it got, with a strong & chilly wind!

We “did the sights & sites” of Quilpie in the morning, then hibernated in Bertie for the rest of the day. The wind didn't let up all day, & it didn't calm down enough for a fire in the evening either...Boo Hoo!

Quilpie railway line...the end or the beginning?

We had a go, but had no luck

Baldy Top Lookout...if you climb the hill!

Yet another old building... up for sale, this time in Quilpie

HE SAID:

Being a small town, our sight-seeing trip was brief. The longest time spent on any one thing was our trying to get fuel. The map we had was not clear as to where to go, and when we eventually found the fuel place it was totally automated, and the machine needed a couple of goes before it processed my payment.
