SAID:
The
mercury plummeted today. Yesterday it was a lovely 34C, today I
think 23C was the highest it got, with a strong & chilly wind!
We
“did the sights & sites” of Quilpie in the morning, then
hibernated in Bertie for the rest of the day. The wind didn't let up
all day, & it didn't calm down enough for a fire in the evening
either...Boo Hoo!

Being a small town, our sight-seeing trip was brief. The longest time spent on any one thing was our trying to get fuel. The map we had was not clear as to where to go, and when we eventually found the fuel place it was totally automated, and the machine needed a couple of goes before it processed my payment.
