SHE
SAID:
The
blustery, squally weather continues here in Wyberba. My orchid
wanderings are on hold till it improves.
I
made a pot of Chilli con Carne, & a huge pot of Bolognese sauce
for the freezer, the smells brought in several flies; there is no way
of sealing this house! Rather annoying!
We
went for a wine tasting in the afternoon, to the Pyramids Road Winery,
about 2km from the house. Suzanne co-owner was friendly,
knowledgeable & chatty. She talked about Ralph the winery dog,
who has made it into the well known “Winery Dogs” book, about
their passion for wines & the area here. It
was well worth the time & effort & we got to try some nice
drops!

The nearest of the local wineries had some nice drops. And the lady there was a friendly, chatty person that Varena discussed orchids with; talking about what they'd seen where, and where to go for more sightings.
