SHE
SAID:
I
finally decided on going to Gooloogong for our next few days.
Grenfell had been the first choice, but after reading reviews of the
caravan park & how it seemed to be over-priced, I changed the
plans.
It
was a good decision; the little “free camp” is on the crossroads
in the village. It has camping for 8 vehicles with power & water.
They ask for a donation in the box & a maximum of 3 nights stay.
Just what we want.
We
walked around the village, had a drink at the pub, & ate dinner
outside in the lovely warm evening air.
Can you guess where I am? |
Three nights here |
Sadly Goologong doesn't have much left open any more |
Even the church looks like it's ripe for a house make over...
if it hasn't already begun!
|
This place is just waiting for a big gust of wind |
No surprise that the hotel was the busiest place in town |

The trip to Gooloogong was trouble-free, and we set up camp before settling down to a bit of lunch. Our afternoon walking tour of the village took just a few minutes, and we followed that up later with a drink at the pub.
