We
did a drive down to Grenfell, birthplace of Henry Lawson, a famous
Australian bush poet & story writer. The town still has it's old
buildings & shop facades, & if you took away the cars and put
dirt on the roads it would probably look like it was 100 years
ago!
On
the drive out to the Weddin Mountains National Park we were slowed
down by heaps of cattle on the road; another droving camp. We have
now seen 4 or 5 of these camps on our NSW outback travels.
Once
again the orchids were non-existent. But we had morning tea, &
walked up to the supposed cave that the notorious bushranger of the
area, Ben Hall, used.

The town of Grenfell was another quaint looking country town. As usual, there were several shops and businesses that had closed down, but in the main it appeared to be plodding along nicely.
