SHE SAID:

I had a quiet day at the house.
Geoff headed off to Philip to get new brakes for the ute, then on to Evan's to help him build a gate to enclose his back garden.

I finally sent the Blog Book off for publishing late last night. It will arrive in Bowral in time for the family viewing!

Capital Brewing Co.

This retro tank turned up soon after we arrived!

The three stooges...Dan, Geoff  & Mr "no-name"
At least one xmas nut in Duffy!
HE SAID:

The brakes on the ute have done over 120,000km and were the original ones from new. Every now and then there is a squeal that I think is the start of the wear indicators making contact. So, $700 later the front brakes should be good for ages. The rear drum brakes still have some wear left in them, so they will get done down the track.

Evan's gate is a highly engineered steel marvel. He has done really well at each stage, from concept and design through to the first dry assembly, but he needed a second pair of hands to get it all together. So that was my role. After about 5 hours helping him we are at the stage where he can do all the rest, but I'll have to go and assist again with the final positioning and fitting.
