SHE
SAID:
Busy
Bees today. We had a 4 hour brunch with Erica & Aaron in
Tuggeranong. They are up from Ballarat to see Erica's sister &
family. Erica's daughter, Maddie, & her boyfriend Jack, turned up for
the final hour. It has been almost 15 months since we last saw them.
Then
we headed out to the Fyshwick area with Evan & Daniel, to the
Capital Brewing Co. for drinks & a burger. This place is hidden
in a light industrial area & looks very much like the Little
Creatures brewery in Fremantle, WA. It was very popular for mid-week,
& so, of course, overly expensive. Not your regular drinking place
at those prices; $12 for a pint of beer! But it was very nice sitting
outside in the warm summer evening.

Our catch up with Erica and the kids was a good one. We gas-bagged so long that we were better off going straight out to our second social event from the first, rather than going back to Farrer for a bit. They all seemed well and happy.
After picking up Evan and Daniel we headed out to Capital Brewing. It was an enjoyable evening, except for the whole operation being cashless, and the exorbitant pricing! Far out! They know how to charge at this place! When you know that the ingredients of a beer cost a few cents per glass, and you are at the place where the beer was made, paying $12 a glass is highway robbery. I can not see us going there too often.
