SHE SAID:

We finally found Lickhole Gully, we think!
There was no sign to prove it but it was a gully in the right area! We had a false start when one of the supposed access roads was closed by a gate & sign saying private property, no entry!
We doubled back & took the Mount Horrible Road again, & eventually got to the steep rough rocky track down to the gully. Photos taken with Geoff & Ute in "Lickhole", we retraced our steps back to a very windy house.

Spaghetti Bolognese rounded out the day's events quite nicely.

I managed to get up for the sunrise this morning!

We had bed warmers this morning

Play nice....pussy cats!

Geoff descending into Lickhole Gully

Down in "Lickhole"!

From 4.6km in a straight line, Diana's place on Limekilns Road is just visible
(the right hand house before the hill of trees)
The house again, but from the bottom of the valley this time
HE SAID:

It was a good day of four wheel driving. There was lots of low-range up and down-hill driving on the steep, loose surfaces in Winburndale Nature Reserve. Such a great name of our target area: Lickhole Gully!

Varena's delightful spaghetti bolognese topped off the day.
