Geoff
& I took Mick & Jacqui on a touring day today. First stop was
Mount Panorama, where we again had hoped to do the circuit, but it was
closed off for a Lotus car rally! Bugger.
We were able to drive to
the top of Mount Panorama & see the Lotus cars racing around the
track & the views across Bathurst. You could get quite close to
the cars & it was quite a buzz.
After
leaving Trusty near the university we set off together in the ute for
Millthorpe; Mick & Jacqui hadn't been here before, & although
we had done it at the weekend, we were happy to return. We had lunch
there & found a few other places that we didn't see on the first
visit.
Returning
to Bathurst we had a short detour to Byng...just because it is was a
funny name. All that remains of this tiny village, that was once
called Cornish Village, is the old church & graveyard.
We
dropped Jacqui & Mick back at Trusty & parted company.

HE SAID:
We were off touring again, this time with Mick and Jac. As we were near Byng we could not resist going there. Great name! The Two Heads brewery was on our hit list to finish our day's travels, but as Varena found that they don't open until 3pm on Wednesdays, we gave it a miss.
