I
was up at 7am & off to Uralla by 7.45am in 9C temperature! Brrr.
There
was a Regent Honeyeater bird workshop; this brightly coloured bird is
critically endangered but endemic to this area of the New England
Tablelands. I was partly interested in finding out about them, &
birds of the area in general. But I also hoped to pick some local
brains about the orchids here.
It
was an interesting talk, then we had a walk in one of the Honeyeater's
habitats. We didn't have any luck finding these pretty birds though.
I did get some orchid info, but time will tell if I find any though!
