Thursday 26th April

SHE SAID:

We are slowly getting our stuff out of the van & into the house; it always takes a couple of days. Things we have forgotten, or decide we now need.

With groceries required we headed into Armidale for a short look around & to get our supplies. Armidale is about 10kms north of Arding.

Our afternoon & evening was quiet, with the feeding of the 2 ponies, Merrylegs & Winsome, one of the must-do tasks! Not having had much to do with ponies/horses before this is a novel experience!
Miss Puss is still a little wary of us, but came in around 5pm & curled up on the chair; close but not too close to us!

A few more photos from Sunday's garden visit.

HE SAID:

Prices are noticeably dearer here. Even dearer than Canberra, which has high prices on lots of things because of a perception of higher incomes. Anyway, Armidale district fuel is anything from 5c to 10c a litre dearer than even 100km down the road. And the groceries were rather dear too. It is no wonder that Aldi is doing very well in Australia. We always notice the savings, once we recognise what we need to buy from the labels we are not used to.
