With
a Bolognese on to slow cook for the day we headed to Uralla. This
town is in the opposite direction to Armidale, & about 8km south
of Arding. Geoff had a couple of places to go to, so I walked the
main street. I spoke with some people at the council about orchids &
they were quite helpful.
Back
at the house we hibernated, as there was a strong, chilly wind. I
started sorting the tourist brochures to make a list of places to
visit in the coming weeks. There are plenty of bush walks to be done.

My to-do list in Uralla included seeing the mechanic that Tori recommended. Another service on the ute has come around; they seem so frequent! This is despite it being 15,000km between services.
There were a couple of other tasks, but as Varena had not called to say that she had finished her wander I popped in to the local brewery, New England Brewery. They are right on the highway through town so hard to miss. So I didn't. I grabbed a variety 6 pack to taste their wares.
When beer o'clock came around I sampled my first local brew: Flying Ram Lager. And it was great! I am really looking forward to sampling the rest.
