Wednesday 14th March

SHE SAID:

We headed west today, for Knysna, with brief stops at the Van Staden Floral Reserve, and Jeffreys Bay.
Then we had a longer stop at the Storms River Bridge, where we had a walk across the bridge for views of the gorge.

Next stop was in the Tsitikamma National Park, and a 2km walk to the Storms River mouth, then lunch by the ocean. We were rather surprised at the price to access the National Park, over $20 each, and the "bun-fight and queue" to buy the tickets to access the park!

Then it was onto the Bloukran Bridge,  where the highest bungee jump from a bridge happens. No, we only had a cuppa..!

Our lovely BnB in Knysna overlooked the lagoon and heads. We had drinks and watched the sun setting from up at the heads before enjoying a yummy dinner in town.

Well the name was right even if they spelt wrong!

This was quite a common sight throughs and on highways doing 100km+!

HE SAID:

The national park at Storms River seemed a strangely difficult and expensive place to get to. Once is certainly enough. Just trying to get into the park entailed a long wait, having our details logged, then another wait to pay the princely sum. It was all rather off-putting for a place that is nice, but not that nice. In hindsight, there were very few non-white faces there, and I can see why the locals wouldn't be regulars.
