Wednesday 28th March

SHE SAID :

I had a couple of things on my "secondary to do list..." basically if we had enough time. Which we did, so we headed to Kalk Bay, a quaint fishing harbour, St James for the colourful beach huts, then Muizenberg for lunch.

Our final destination was Rhodes Cottage. Cecil Rhodes died here at the young age of 48. He is a very controversial figure in southern Africa, admired by some & loathed by many. We got the story of his life & death told to us by a lovely volunteer guide at the Cottage.

For our final dinner in this lovely city we took Tina, Ramzie and their eldest daughter Miskah out to The Raj Indian restaurant in Camps Bay. We enjoyed a lovely feast there. Zareen, their youngest daughter, missed out having left for Joburg the previous evening.

HE SAID:

Our morning scenic drive was spent tailing Ramzie again as he rode his Moto Guzzi. He is fairly new to motorcycling and wants more saddle time before undergoing his full licence test.

I think dinner was enjoyed by all, being very tasty, and I even managed to sample a new and very tasty beer. A double win for me.
