SHE
SAID:
We
did the 200km round trip to Tamworth today. We passed through this
town, famous for it's Country Music Festival, on the way up to Arding
in late April, but didn't get a chance to have a look around.
Seeing
it once was enough. There were a few interesting old buildings, &
a Marsupial Park with no signs of Marsupials, though there were lots
of native birds.
The
Giant Golden Guitar was photo-worthy; another “big” thing for the
Blog!
So, after a fish 'n' chip lunch & trip to the supermarket & grog
shop, we headed back to the house.

HE SAID:
We've been through Tamworth a few times over the last several years, but this was our first effort at stopping in for a look. Varena had a list of things to do, and we did most things on her list. But I was a bit underwhelmed. The town may have more to offer, but I'm not in a hurry for it.
