Thursday 26th July

SHE SAID:

Peter & Ingrid, the neighbours 2 doors up from us, suggested we check out the Laurieton cinema. So we did. The outside of the building is pretty uninspiring, but inside it is all art deco, in rich red & gold, old movie posters on the walls, & golden statues around the place. It certainly has that wow factor once you step inside. The movie we saw was Back to Burgundy; not our usual type of movie, very SBS, as Geoff put it. But we both enjoyed it.

We missed out on the Kendall Community Markets by 40mins; oh well, maybe another year!

Back at the house I sussed out trying to see the “Blood Moon" event that is happening around 5.30am on Saturday morning. Being right on the east coast I'm not sure whether I'll see it, plus the weather forecast is for clouds on Saturday morning. First clouds we've had in nearly 4 weeks! Typical!

Chapel across from the Plaza Theatre

Inside the cinema was lovely

HE SAID:

We went along to a movie to see the cinema! Unusual for me. Anyway, the movie was surprisingly OK.

It is the last day of waiting for eBay to allow cancellation of the generator sale. About 8pm Friday I can do it.
