Wednesday 25th July

SHE SAID:

A local jaunt today, with hubby in tow. I wanted to recheck a couple of orchid places.

Corduroy Fire Trail came up trumps with 3 flowering types: Spurred Helmet Orchids (Corybas aconitiflorus), Pixie Caps (Acianthus fornicatus), & Box Greenhoods (Pterostylis hispudula); though they weren't new types.

Then, in the eucalyptus forest along Diamond Head Road, we found quite a few White Fingers (Caladenia catenata). They varied somewhat, with several having red colouring & another having pale pink on it. On checking when we returned to the house they are all the same, just different!!!

Non-Orchid photos from the day out

HE SAID:

We had a decent wander in the bush again today, finding a few of Varena's targets: orchids!

I still have to wait for eBay to allow cancellation of the generator sale. Very frustrating!
