SAID:
We
did the Southern Wildflower Trail today, armed with information on
possible orchid spots as well as a touring around “points of
interest”.
The
flowers are still “thin on the ground” but we did find a couple
of flowering orchids, & a few different orchid basal leaves. I
was happy with the finds for the day. And we saw new parts of WA that
we hadn’t seen before; lots of fields, dirt roads & no people!

I managed to be of assistance and found an orchid for Varena. She had already found a bud, so looking nearby I found what appeared to be the only open flower of its type anywhere in the world (well, that is what it seems like sometimes. They can be so hard to find!).
