SAID:
We
drove the 85km from Moora to Wongan Hills before lunchtime. It is
another hot-spot for orchids that I had read about & been told to
check out.
We
had a couple of hours out in the afternoon at Christmas Rocks, which
was very close to the caravan park. There were 3 varieties of orchid
flowering that we found. I was happy.

HE SAID:
The highway south was rather bumpy, but we had an uneventful drive. The orchid season seems to be delayed by about a month due to the annual rains coming a bit late this year. So much for Varena's best laid plains. Some things you just can't predict!
