SHE
SAID:
Geoff
& I headed about 40km south to Mogumber, to meet up with WANOSCG
for a field trip. We, or more likely I, had a great day. Lots of
orchids were seen, & I even learnt stuff too. Geoff’s eagle eyes
spotted orchids, & I managed to get him back to Bertie in time for
the AFL in the afternoon.
I
met the group again at Candy’s Bush Reserve for the final look
around for the day.
The WANOSCG people headed back to Perth & Geoff & I had
dinner at the Drover’s Inn the hotel in town. It was a pleasant
evening, though expensive.

I had forgotten that I had promised Varena that I would go on the orchid field trip. It is her first one with this group, so that is probably why I agreed to go along. It was an interesting day out, but as the last orchid stop was near the van, and there was footy, on, and we'd been to the place before, I bailed.
The Drover's Inn had the best chips I've had for ages. They were really good. But I thought $100 for a T-bone, a snitty, and a bottle of plonk was rather exy!
