Wednesday 31st July

SHE SAID:

We headed for Narrogin today, about 280km drive, with a brief detour to Popanyinning to meet house owners about a sit for 3 ½ months next year. All seems good with the house, owners & cats, so it looks as though we are booked now till early July 2020!

In Narrogin we decided to try out the newly opened free-camp near the visitor centre. Hopefully it won’t be too cold in the mornings, though with the diesel heater now we should be fine.

HE SAID:

Camping without external power and water is usually fine, but I don't think we've done 3 days in a row since we had the solar panels installed. My main concern is having enough juice in the batteries early in the mornings to get the diesel heater going. Nights are cold here, sometimes almost frosty, so I want the heater to work. We know we are not roughing it, but I put the heater in for just this type of occasion. As long as the batteries get charged, we'll be fine.
