Geoff had his mechanic’s hat, or should I say, face mask & gloves on today!
He decided to change the front brakes on the ute, a first-time effort for him, & he did the oil & filter service as it will be due soon & there is a flat surface to get it done on here.
Bella & I had a lazy day, nothing new there!

HE SAID:
With nothing open due to the public holiday, and with no real plans for the day, I put the time to use by doing some car maintenance. The brake pads were as simple as the videos indicated, but if something had not been right I may have a different attitude. It took a little while, of course, as I had to jack the car up, put stands underneath, then remove the wheels before I could get at the brakes. And, I wore the mask, as years ago I was told that asbestos was used in brake pads. Whether it still is used I have no idea, but a little caution seemed appropriate.
