Dorte headed off around 7.45am.
I made some chewy chocolate brownies for Geoff’s return tomorrow; he loves his sweet treats.

Steph woke me around 7am as Mum was having breathing difficulties. This was one of the symptoms of her heart failure a few years ago, so I didn't muck around. I bundled Mum into Mick's car and took her to ED at the hospital. She was probed, prodded, x-rayed, and tested etc. She slowly appeared to improve after a few hours, but, as usual, the communication about what was going on was the letdown. She was admitted to a ward around lunchtime, but we still had no info on what they thought the problem was.
With plenty of other family in Canberra to be with Mum Mick and I headed toward Sydney about 1:45pm. It rained most of the way from Lake George to Campbelltown, where Mick dropped me at the station. He was originally going to come to Kath's for an optic, but we worked out that with our delayed departure it would be a nightmare for him.
Despite my bag being only around 14kg I was a sweaty bugger after all the stairs and the seemingly humid walk to Kathy's flat. Luckily there are shops near the flat, so I grabbed a piece of lasagne and a couple of beers and had a relaxed evening.
