Geoff had his first outing in almost 2 weeks today; nothing too exciting, a trip into town.
I then headed out to a couple of orchid spots before meeting Dorte at Canal Rocks, a cool spot where the sea crashes into the rocks & shore. We did a couple more scenic beach areas, heading north to Yallingup & had a look around the Yallingup Gallery before parting company.
Skype with Julian was a 90 minute talk fest.

HE SAID:
As I was a little stir-crazy, and we both wanted a couple of things in town, I made my first public appearance in a while -day 11. There is still a lot of redness on my face but I felt that I could not be too self-conscience about it. My attempts at speaking to a human in the Busselton Telstra shop was the usual hopeless task, so I gave up after about 10 minutes.
My next visit was to the nearby pharmacy, where I bought a combined moisturiser and sun cream, in the hope that I will use it more regularly and protect my face more. While at the pharmacy I overheard another customer enquire about getting a flu jab, so I asked about getting the latest Covid booster jab, and they slotted me in with only a ten minute wait. I was rather pleased about that! And, while I was in getting my booster I asked the bloke about the flu jab and he gave me it there and then! Again, I was impressed. Both jabs were free, will protect me and the community, and I have a record of all the details in my Medicare record. Good all around.
