I headed 230km east to the Mt Frankland National Park today. I was meeting other like-minded orchid nuts going on a “wild goose” chase for the Peat Helmet Orchid, which inhabits peat bogs, & has only been seen after a burn. A large area of this national park was burnt last summer, so we had a slim chance of finding them!
None were found, & few orchids seen for the whole day, which was a bit disappointing. But it was still nice to go out & try to find this little orchid & catch up with friends.
I was passing through Nannup & saw the pub without cars blocking the view. |

I had a bit of a lie in compared to Varena, getting up around 7:30. There were a few minor jobs to do at the house, then I watched One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest. I didn't remember too much of it from whenever I previously watched it. It started slowly, but got going after a while.
