It was a cold start, and though we didn’t actually see a frost, there could have been one!
We headed to Lake Grace for the night. We had a cuppa & wander in Harrismith about halfway.
Surprisingly, Lake Grace Caravan Park was pretty full. We were told there was an Aussie Rules carnival on. But we just wanted the $5 parking in the gravel area where you need to be self-contained, & all the other vans were in the powered area, so we had no problem getting a spot.
After setting up & eating lunch we had a drive around the area, but the orchids were very light on! Geoff was happy to watch the cricket for the rest of the evening.

Our $5 fee for the overnight stay provided us with a bit of surety that the van would be safe when we zoomed off, so worth it.
We were caught totally by surprise this morning when I received a message from my sister that her friend in Miami was interested in getting us to house-sit for them next year. And, they would pay the airfares! We had not thought about visiting the US any time soon, but free flights and digs changes all that. We have no idea if it will actually come off, but you never know.
