Monday 10th July
SHE SAID:
Geoff had a busy morning working on the car, so I was “home alone” at the house.
On his return I took off orchiding. The weather was lovely, too good to be sitting at the house. I had a couple of hours up near Scaddan searching, then met with Kathy in Helms. There are lots of Spider Orchids close to opening, and more Snails coming out now too.
In the evening I had a 1980’s flashback with the Wham! documentary. It brought back many happy memories of my life in London.

HE SAID:
On my way out to the retreat this morning I stopped in at the Royal Flying Doctor Service volunteer yard, where they split firewood for sale. I organised a delivery, then went on to let the dog have a run around, but mostly to do an oil change on the ute, and also to lube the rear suspension. It all probably took me about 2 hours.
Not long after I got back to the house the wood turned up. So, I helped the old volunteer bloke to unload his ute, then moved it all into the backyard and stacked it for our use. Not too laborious today, but more than my usual.
