A good day with Wendy & Wayne. I showed them a good variety of orchids out around Esperance, plus the Helmet I’d seen close to opening was open; a nice little bonus.

They showed me some of their locations for orchids later in the season.

I was writing the Blog in the lounge around 10.30pm when there was a bump on the window. I looked quickly around thinking it was Charli playing silly B’s, but it was a barn owl that had flown into the window! I wasn’t quick enough for a photo as it flew off straight away!

Mum sounded a little better when I rang her today. I guess she is getting over Covid and pneumonia, plus getting some help with the consequences of her fall in March.

While having my ham sandwich for lunch something caught my eye out on the water from the house. Whales! At last! There may have only been one or two, perhaps 3 or 4, but it was hard to tell. I tried to take some photos and videos but they were not clear enough to post, just to use as evidence to make Varena jealous!
