Today I met up with Maggie & we headed to the Mt Barker area. We had a good day out finding quite a few orchids, A couple of new finds for the year, though nothing new to me. She showed me some of her spots & told me what would flower there later in the year.
We stopped at the Mt Barker Bakery on the way home & she bought me & Geoff a sweet treat, Caramel Eclairs. And Geoff didn’t even come out with us!

Having a treat delivered with Varena's return this arvo was a very pleasant surprise. I no complain!
My morning was a sweaty one. I grabbed Mike's battery powered chainsaw and attacked the several clusters of smallish logs around the block. Just for fun, I also split a load of firewood. So, despite the temperature only being around 15 degrees, I was hot. The wheelbarrow's flat tyre did not help either.
