Geoff & I headed to Cranbrook, to look in a spot I'd been to a couple of years ago. It didn’t disappoint. We also did a new area, the Sukey Hill Lookout, which had some more different orchids on it.

The pies from the Mt Barker Bakery also didn’t disappoint. But the Mt Barker Lookout was weedy & nothing was seen.

We were back to the house around 3.30pm, where I had to reorganise my flights to Tasmania as QANTAS has “VERY KINDLY”….NOT, cancelled our direct flights & put us on a flight to Sydney then down to Tasmania, which takes 3 hour longer than our original flights. To say I was annoyed is a MAJOR understatement. I got it sorted & told Mel what flights I’d changed to, and she managed to do the same.

QANTAS are B***** awful, getting really expensive, cutting flights & the service is non-existent!

Having a pie for lunch was a nice treat. Especially after all the orchids I had found for Varena!

Varena was absolutely fuming at Qantas, and rightly so. She had spent hours researching flights, co-ordinating hire cars, arranging flights etc, then Qantas bugger it all up. They have announced record profits again; they have stated they are keeping prices up because they can; they have actively lobbied against increased competition; and they claimed billions of dollars in subsidies during Covid after sacking most of their staff. Gotta love 'em!
