SHE SAID:
Geoff & I had a big day out in the Rocky Gully & Frankland River area. Not much was found at the first 3 stops, but things picked up at the nature reserve to the south of Frankland River.
I was also spot on time to see the rare, undescribed, nearly all yellow Donkeys that are in a cage in the centre of Frankland River. There were 5 flowering plants all with 2 or more flowering in good condition. They are very different from the normal WA Donkeys, almost looking like some eastern state Donkeys which are called “Golden Moths”. I was very happy to see them as last time we came through they were all but finished.
Geoff found quite a few orchids in the surrounding bush, & we both found lots around Stockyard Rd. So, after a slow start things picked up nicely.

HE SAID:
Our 300km+ trip was relatively production. Well, Varena seemed happy with the finds. We stopped for a late lunch at Nunijup, with water views as we ate. I gave Mum a call after we'd eaten, and there is a possibility of her heading home next week. But that is dependent on a couple of things. So, we'll see.
Varena had put a curry on to slow-cook before we headed out this morning, and we enjoyed our meal while Skyping with Julian in Japan in the evening.
